My Story

My name is Cate.  Feisty & Fetching began with healing.  As part of a healing exercise, I began to revisit hobbies from earlier times in my life.  As a child, my sister and I made hundreds of beaded and woven bracelets.  In my teen years, I picked up a camera and started my career as a photographer.  I ran photo labs for years and became an expert in color theory.

I had no idea I had traumatic memories locked inside my head.  After learning to meditate, I unlocked a cascade of memories that was difficult to control.  I began to bead weave to gain control and stabilize.  As I strung and wove bracelet after bracelet, I re-discovered my passion for crafting beaded creations.  Paired with my eye for color, beading became more than a healing exercise.

As my skill grew, I decided to sell my jewelry and turn my healing journey into my beading journey.  Over the years, beading has brought joy and inspiration into my life.  Beading inspired me to honor my heart and do the things that brought fulfillment and learning into my life.
